You probably know already that the best way to know a foreign city is to walk along its streets. If you are considering Havana within your scheduled itinerary for your Cuba holidays then allow me to introduce you to the nicest walks in this amazing city.

El Malecon: This is by far the most beautiful see front promenade in the whole of the Caribbean. A walk takes about 1 to 2 hours depending on how many stops and cocktails you have along the way. You can even strip off your cloth and sun bath while resting on the top of the wall like so many others do.

Paseo del Prado:Also known as “Paseo Jose Marti” became from the beginning of the 20th Century the most expensive place to live in Havana. Along this beautiful promenade one can admire the astonishing architecture of what in their own time were the best properties of Havana.

Calle Obispo: If you like being surrounded by thousands of pedestrians wandering like yourself and admiring Havana?s Culture from its very heart then you have to walk along Obispo Street. This pedestrian boulevard is 2 kilometres long and is considered one of the oldest streets of Havana.

Calle 5ta:The 5th Avenue in Havana became in the 1950?s the best place to life in Havana. Today you can admire the most sumptuous properties in the whole of Cuba. Perhaps you should take a taxi and get to see this area which unfortunately is not walking distance from the best hotels in Havana.

Calle Galiano: This one is particularly popular among locals because of its many retail shops. The China Town and Casa de La Musica Salsa Palace are also located in Galeano Street.

Havana is a must see city and if you did not think about including at least few nights in Cuiba?s Capital then I suggest you reconsider your schedule; for Havana is the most vibrant and enigmatic province in Cuba.
